Job summary

Trade Assist has an opportunity for you to join our team as a forklift operator in Canterbury. This role involves operating a reach forklift for putaways, replenishment, picking and dispatch tasks across ambient, chilled, or frozen environments.

You must hold an OSH certificate, have proven experience with high reach forklifts, and be physically fit for repetitive heavy lifting (15–25kg). Owning reliable transport is advantageous and on-site parking is provided.

Trade Assist has the opportunity for you to work with an innovative 3PL provider specialising in customs and MPI support, devanning, freight forwarding, inventory management, warehousing, packing and distribution services.***Immediate Starts Available***

What’s on offer:

• Day Shift | 5:00am-1:00pm | $29.90 p/hr
• Afternoon Shift | 2:30pm-Midnight | $28.00-$30.00 p/hr
• Night Shift | 9:00pm-5:00am |$29.50 Per Hour
• Temp to perm opportunities
• Free on-site parking

The Role:

• Operating a reach forklift to do putaways and replenishment, picking and dispatch tasks
• Working in ambient, chilled, or frozen environments depending on the role
• Physical, hands‑on work including heavy lifting

What we’re looking for:

• Current OSH certificate
• Proven experience operating high reach forklifts
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 15-25kg)
• Own reliable transport advantageous
