Job summary

Hynds Pipe Systems Limited is seeking a hands‑on Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our RAWE Manufacturing and Pukekohe Workshop sites. Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, you will lead a team, manage safety, quality, delivery and cost, and drive performance on the workshop floor.

You will supervise production planning, staff inductions, training, leave and day‑to‑day crew management, while championing 5S practices and a strong health and safety culture across sites.

• Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing or production.
• Strong health and safety mindset with leadership by example.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily toolbox meetings and maintain a safe, high‑performing workshop environment.
• Monitor product quality, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage production planning, recording and reporting to site leadership.
• Oversee staff inductions, training, leave, and day‑to‑day crew management.
• Minimise waste and manage raw materials, consumables and PPE distribution.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and manage service requests.
• Champion 5S housekeeping standards and health & safety compliance.

About The Role

Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, you'll supervise workshop and stone box operations across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People — keeping production running smoothly while leading a team that's proud of what they do.
