Job summary

KiwiRail in Hamilton is seeking three motivated individuals to join our Track Maintenance team as Trainee Track Workers. This role is a physical, safety-focused position offering on-the-job training and a clear path into rail industry careers.

You'll help maintain and repair rail infrastructure, operate tools and light machinery, and work outdoors across rotating shifts. Comprehensive training and qualifications are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on work with rail infrastructure.
• Commitment to safety and ability to pass medical checks.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rail track and infrastructure.
• Operate tools, equipment and light machinery.
