Stevenson Aggregates in Tauhei is seeking a hands-on quarry operator to work with plant, loaders, and mobile machinery. You will be responsible for safe daily production, basic maintenance, and keeping work areas tidy and compliant with site procedures.

The role emphasises safety, teamwork, and flexibility across tasks from equipment operation to routine upkeep, with opportunities for training and progression within the Stevenson group.

Qualifications

• A Full Class 2 licence is compulsory.
• WTR is a must.
• Unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match.
• Passion for the quarrying industry and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good attitude toward the care and maintenance of machinery.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate quarry plant and equipment to meet daily production needs.
• Carry out daily pre-starts, calibration checks, and basic plant maintenance to keep equipment ready for work.
• Maintain stockpiles, plant areas, and workspaces to a clean, tidy, and safe standard.
• Follow site procedures, identify hazards, and actively support safety, environmental, and quality expectations.
• Work closely with the team to deliver good service, respond to customer needs, and keep work moving.
