Fulton Hogan is seeking a hands-on Quarry Operator in Matawai, Gisborne. You will safely operate quarry plant and assist crushing and screening, moving materials to keep production flowing, while upholding high safety and quality standards.

You’ll join a down-to-earth team that values collaboration, accountability and practical, reliable work. Outdoor, crew-based role with opportunities to grow skills and contribute to site success.

Qualificações

• 2 years’ experience in a quarry, civil, extractive or heavy plant operating environment.
• Experience operating quarry plant, loaders, excavators, crushing and screening equipment, or similar machinery.
• Current Class 4 licence with WTR endorsements.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork and getting the job done right.
• Practical, reliable and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and pitch in.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate quarry plant, crushing and screening equipment, and associated machinery.
• Extract, process, stockpile and load quarry materials to support efficient site production.
• Complete daily pre‑starts, plant checks, logbooks and basic maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate records, monitor product quality, and help minimise wastage.
• Work to Fulton Hogan’s safety, environmental and quality standards, and speak up when something’s not right.

As a Quarry Operator at Fulton Hogan, you’ll play a key part in keeping our Matawai quarry running safely, smoothly, and to a high standard. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll operate plant, support crushing and screening, and help keep materials moving so the team can deliver good work every day.

You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, from meeting production targets to maintaining quality, safety, and site standards. It’s outdoor work, team-based, and practical.
