Job summary

NZ HVAC Supplies Ltd in Upper Hutt seeks a Supply and Distribution Manager for an 18 month fixed term. You will lead purchasing, storage and distribution, ensuring stock availability and cost control across NZ while meeting quality standards.

You will negotiate with suppliers, oversee warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement in our supply chain. This role requires strong leadership, planning skills and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of supervisor or manager experience.
• Tertiary qualification in Business/Management or related field.
• Knowledge of procurement, inventory and logistics management.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing, storage and distribution plans.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to meet demand and minimise costs.
• Negotiate with suppliers to balance quality, price and delivery.
• Oversee warehouse operations and stock control.
• Coordinate transport and distribution across New Zealand.
• Prepare operational reports on supply chain performance.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff and allocate duties.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Identify and implement supply chain improvements.
• Manage supplier performance risks and stock shortages.
