Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Quality Control Analyst for their Queenstown laboratory. You will perform analytical tests, calibrate instruments, prepare reagents, and document results to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a chemical quality control laboratory environment.
• Proficiency with common analytical instrumentation and techniques.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and laboratory safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and data recording accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a laboratory team in Queenstown.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analysis.
• Accurately record and report test results, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and equipment issues as needed.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
