Job Title: Quality Auditor

Reporting To: Quality Supervisor

Shift: Day Shift, Pink & Blue

Location: Lantmännen Unibake, Maidstone Road, Kingston, Milton Keynes, MK10 0BD

As a Quality Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our food products consistently meet the highest standards of safety and quality. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise in food safety regulations will ensure that our manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

You Will Be Great At:

  • Conducting audits and inspections to verify that food safety and quality protocols are followed across all production areas.
  • Identifying areas of improvement and working with teams to implement corrective actions that enhance product quality.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and other industry standards.
  • Training and mentoring staff on quality control procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Accurately documenting audit results and communicating findings to both management and production teams.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformance issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Supporting the company’s continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to process optimization and quality enhancement efforts.

You Are:

  • Detail-oriented and methodical, with a keen eye for spotting inconsistencies and non-compliance.
  • Proactive, able to anticipate potential issues and take steps to prevent them.
  • A strong communicator, capable of delivering clear, constructive feedback to various teams and departments.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment but can also work independently when needed.
  • Passionate about food safety and committed to upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

You Have:

  • A solid understanding of food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, and BRC standards.
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A qualification in food science, microbiology, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Certification or training in quality auditing, food safety, or regulatory compliance (desirable).

Pink Shift Pattern Overview:

In our 24/7 operation, the Quality Auditor role is available on the Pink/Blue Shift. This means you will be working 12-hour shifts, alternating between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Your working days will follow this rotation:

  • Week 1 & 3: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (4 days on, 3 days off).
  • Week 2 & 4: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (3 days on, 4 days off).
