Overview

Join the Higgins team in Auckland as a full‑time Quality Assurance Technician in our Surfacing Division. In this hands‑on role you’ll support the surfacing team by delivering accurate, timely data to ensure top‑quality results. You’ll manage documentation control and monitor the quality of various roading surfaces. Your day‑to‑day will include onsite field testing, applying mathematical and machinery‑based procedures, and occasionally being right on site with a shovel in hand to back up the team.

Qualifications
  • Previous surfacing experience and understanding of products used in asphalting
  • Experience on civils and roading projects in an engineering or technical quality control capacity
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Class 1 driver’s licence (WTR endorsement a bonus)
  • Willingness to work night and day shifts, including weekends when required
  • Strong technical, mathematical and analytical skills
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable, honest and flexible
