Job summary

Titiro Whakamua Kindergarten in Wellington is seeking a Certificated teacher to support babies and very young children in a nurturing, play-based environment. The role focuses on secure attachments, responsive caregiving, and partnerships with whānau within Te Whāriki framework.

You will work collaboratively with a fully qualified team, plan interactive activities, and help children explore early learning through responsive interactions.

• We provide care and education for tamariki from 3 months old
• This role will commence on 12 October

We’re looking for a teacher who:

• Loves working with babies and has previous experience in a similar role

TWK is attached to the Teen Parent School in Upper Hutt. This kaupapa plays a vital role in creating inclusive pathways for whānau to continue their learning journey, while tamariki thrive in a nurturing environment.

A significant focus of this role is working with babies and very young children, requiring a teacher who is confident, gentle and nurturing. They’ll be happy to spend lots of time cuddling and soothing pēpi.
