Job summary

BestStart Willowpark Road is seeking a passionate and dedicated qualified and certificated teacher for a 6-month parental leave position. Based in our Under 2s room, you'll work alongside experienced educators committed to high-quality care and learning experiences for our youngest tamariki.

The role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for the right candidate, and a strong focus on Te Whāriki, bicultural practice and positive relationships with whānau.

Qualifications

• Must hold a BEd or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher certification.
• Knowledge of Te Whāriki and child-led learning approaches.
• Commitment to bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for quality early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Under 2s room, deliver nurturing, engaging and responsive learning experiences for tamariki.
