Job summary

BestStart Willowpark Road in Hastings, NZ, is seeking a qualified and certificated teacher for a 6-month parental leave position starting 14 September. Based in the Under 2s room, you will work with a supportive team delivering early learning experiences for tamariki.

You'll join a bicultural program that honours Te Whāriki and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for the right candidate while maintaining a warm, collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• BEd/Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) with current certification.
• Knowledge of Te Whāriki and child-led learning approaches.
• Commitment to bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for quality early childhood education.
