Job summary

Aotea Electric Ashburton is a locally owned business looking for a qualified Service Electrician to join our team in Mid Canterbury. You’ll work on a mix of commercial, industrial, residential, HVAC, rural and solar projects, keeping customers’ operations running smoothly and safely.

You’ll be out and about with local customers, explaining findings, offering sensible solutions and completing testing and documentation as part of a trusted team. We value pride in workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified, registered electrician with a current practising licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organise own work and use initiative.
• Excellent communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

We are growing and looking for a qualified Service Electrician to join our team here in Mid Canterbury.

What will your days look like?

There's plenty of variety, so you won't be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll be out and about working with our local customers, sorting problems and helping keep their homes, businesses and operations running smoothly.

You'll be doing things like:

• Fault finding and getting to the bottom of electrical problems.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Completing installations, upgrades and improvement work.
• Working across commercial, industrial, residential, HVAC, rural and solar jobs.
• Talking with customers, explaining your findings and recommending sensible solutions.
• Completing testing, commissioning and job documentation.
• Working alongside a good bunch of people who are happy to lend a hand when needed.

What sort of person will suit us?

We want someone who:

• Is a qualified, registered electrician with a current practising licence.
