Job summary

Uneeda Plumber Ltd in the Manawatū is seeking a Qualified Plumber and/or Gasfitter to join a supportive, professional crew. You’ll bring pride in your workmanship and deliver reliable service across maintenance, renovations, gas fittings, drainage and hot water systems.

This permanent, full‑time role offers a company vehicle, a company phone, tool allowance, paid birthday off, and ongoing training within a friendly local team that values your experience and ideas.

Qualifications

• Qualified Plumber/Gasfitter with PGDB practicing license.
• Experience across maintenance, reactive plumbing, gas-fitting, drainage, renovations and hot water systems.
• Full New Zealand driver license; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance plumbing and reactive repairs.
• Bathroom renovations and plumbing fit-outs.
• Gas, solar and heat pump hot water systems installation and servicing.
• Gas fitting including cookers, heaters and hot water systems.
• Drainage and sewer work from unblocking to new installations.
• Troubleshooting and a wide range of plumbing projects.

We’re growing our team and are looking for an experienced Qualified Plumber and/or Gasfitter who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive, professional crew.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same. You’ll get a genuine mix of work, including:

• Maintenance plumbing and reactive repairs
• Bathroom renovations and plumbing fit-outs
• Electric, gas, solar and heat pump hot water systems, including installation and servicing
• Gas fitting, including cookers, heaters and hot water systems
• Drainage and sewer work, from unblocking through to new installations
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving and a wide range of plumbing projects

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a Qualified Plumber and/or Gasfitter with a current PGDB practicing license and ideally have experience across maintenance, reactive plumbing, gas-fitting, drainage, renovations and hot water systems.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who:

• Takes genuine pride in their workmanship
• Gets the job done properly, not just quickly
• Is professional and friendly with customers
• Communicates clearly and works well with the team
• Is reliable, organised and able to think on their feet
• Can work independently and take ownership of a job
• Holds a full, clean New Zealand driver license
• Is comfortable using technology for job management and reporting

Experience with Tradify or similar job management software is a bonus but training will be provided.
