Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Pareora invites applications for a qualified Company Meat Inspector to join the Primary Butchery team.

The role carries carcass and offal inspection duties to meet stringent product quality and customer requirements; candidates must hold Level 4 certificates and be able to work day or evening shifts. On-the-job training and career development are available, with staff discounts and EAP benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 4 National Certificate in Animal Product Examination.
• Level 4 AsureQuality Trained (Meat Inspection) in Lamb (Beef preferred).
• Understanding of food manufacturing compliance.
• Willing to work day or evening shift.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Health and safety, quality, and technical compliance knowledge.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• On-the-job training and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform carcass and offal inspection duties in the Primary Butchery department.
• Ensure compliance with product quality and customer requirements.
• Maintain health and safety and quality standards.

Education
