Job summary

PERL Electrical & HVAC Taupŋka - Tūrangi is seeking a reliable NZ electrician to join our Taupŋka-based team. You’ll work on a mix of residential and commercial projects across Taupŋka, Tūrangi and the Central North Island, including heat pumps and HVAC work.

This role offers a varied workload, opportunities to expand into solar, a supportive local team, and steady full-time employment with overtime options.

Qualifications

• Current NZ electrical registration and practising licence.
• Full NZ Driver Licence.
• Strong residential and commercial electrical experience.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Practical heat pump/HVAC installation experience.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Solar experience or registration would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• General residential, commercial and light industrial electrical work.
• Electrical installations, maintenance, repairs and fault finding.
• New builds, renovations and additions.
• Electrical maintenance and servicing.
• Installing and commissioning electrical supplies, equipment and controls.
• Heat pump installation, servicing and maintenance.
• Working directly with customers and providing excellent service.
• Completing job documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Working independently as well as with the wider team.
• Assisting with solar work where experienced or registered.

PERL Electrical & HVAC Taupŋka - Tūrangi is looking for a reliable, self-motivated electrician to join our team. Based in Taupŋka, you'll work throughout Taupŋka, Tūrangi and the wider Central North Island

This is a great opportunity to work across a broad range of residential and commercial electrical projects, with the added benefit of heat pump and HVAC work for someone with the right experience.

About us

We're a locally operated electrical and HVAC business providing dependable electrical, heating and cooling solutions to residential and commercial customers throughout Taupŋka, Tūrangi and the surrounding area.

Our core work is electrical, covering general electrical installation and maintenance, new homes, renovations and additions, fault finding and repairs. We also provide heat pump installation, servicing and maintenance, with opportunities to be involved in solar work as the business develops.

As part of the wider PERL Electrical Group, we combine the personal service and accountability of a local team with the support, systems and experience of a larger electrical network.

About the role

You’ll be involved in a broad range of electrical work, including:

What we're looking for

• Current NZ electrical registration and practising licence
• Full NZ Driver Licence
• Strong residential and commercial electrical experience

• Practical heat pump/HVAC installation experience
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Solar experience or registration would be an advantage
