About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

We’re looking for a Qualified Butcher (full time or part time) to join our Woolworths New Zealand team. We\'re proud of the diversity of our team and the roles they play in running our store - this role is great for anyone who enjoys a hands-on job with plenty of variety each day.

Responsibilities
  • Cutting, trimming and packaging meat products as well as using different machinery
  • Interacting with customers helping them choose the best cuts of meat for their needs
  • Maintaining great presentation for the Butchery department
  • Sharing your knowledge by training and developing other team members
  • Championing Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors
About You | Mōu
  • Hold a NZ Certificate in Trade Butchery
  • Have a willingness to start early and work on your feet for most of your shift
  • Be a strong communicator and effectively communicate with customers and team members
  • Regularly lifting up to 15kgs, bend, reach and complete repetitive movements
