About the role

Manage customer enquiries, create and follow up on quotes, read construction/building consent drawings, and use building estimate software. Liaise with customers, colleagues, and suppliers while supporting sales and operations to deliver accurate, timely solutions and a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer, colleague, and supplier interactions via phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Maintain high levels of customer service with a focus on sales
  • Accurately estimate quantities from construction/building consent drawings
  • Provide timely quotes to meet customer specifications
  • Follow up on active quotes and help build a strong sales pipeline
  • Coordinate with operations to schedule and dispatch orders efficiently (achieve full DIFOT)
  • Support the team and contribute to company growth
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day (e.g., 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:30am–5:00pm – flexible)
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, the steel or construction industry (preferred)
  • Experience in customer service and sales
  • Ability to read construction/building consent drawings
  • Experience using building estimate software
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and strong numerical ability
