Outerdawn Limited is seeking a QA Lead to shape quality practices across a live Unity game studio. You will focus on where testing adds value, balancing automation with human testing, and guiding the team to deliver a high-quality player experience.

You will own QA for live, complex systems with many interactions and updates, ensuring reliable releases and continuous quality improvements across the project.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in the games industry and shipping live games.
• Senior QA background with strategic thinking about quality across complex systems.
• Proven leadership to influence teams and establish QA practices.
• Technical understanding of QA automation and collaboration with engineers.
• Judgement on when to automate vs. exploratory testing.
• Excellent communication with Engineering, Design, Production and Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive QA strategy, identifying where automation adds value and where human testing matters most.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve testability and bake quality into development.
• Maintain confidence in automated tests, ensuring reliable, actionable results.
• Own QA triage and release decisions, communicating risk and prioritising issues.
• Improve and maintain QA tools, workflows and processes to boost testing efficiency.
• Coordinate with outsourced QA to align efforts with project needs.
• Provide quality insights through reporting, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
