Qualifications

2–5 years of QA experience in a technology environment.
Experience with software testing and QA tools and practices.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/DevOps teams.
Ability to design test approaches and investigate issues.
Experience working in product teams and managing dependencies across teams.
Clear communication and collaboration with engineers and analysts.
Experience with mainframe/middleware/architectures would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Take part in the development process from inception through to release, using Agile and Lean ways of working such as Scrum and Kanban.
Design, develop and run automated test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
Maintain and monitor automation and regression test suites, refactoring them to keep them reliable and useful.
Apply software engineering principles to test automation, with a focus on maintainability and reuse.
Investigate defects and work with the team to resolve issues and prevent them recurring.
Collaborate with architects, software engineers, QA professionals and business analysts to diagnose issues and shape software that supports effective testing.
Follow agreed processes, standards and guidelines for manual and automated testing.
