Job description

Dawn Aerospace is looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to support purchasing, inventory, logistics, and material coordination activities across both In-Space Propulsion and the Spaceplane program.

This role supports the day-to-day operational side of purchasing and inventory management. You will help ensure our engineers and production teams get the goods they need when they need them, while also helping improve inventory visibility, purchasing accuracy, and operational processes as the company scales.

You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and procurement teams across the organisation. This is a hands-on role with a mix of purchasing, ERP work, inventory coordination, logistics support, and warehouse activities.

If you want a narrow, heavily structured role, this is probably not for you. We are looking for someone practical, organised, and capable of taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Raise and manage purchase orders
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries and order follow-up
  • Support purchasing and inventory transactions within ERP systems
  • Support stock counts and inventory verification activities across ISP NZ and SPL
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and stock location information
  • Support supermarket-style consumable inventory areas and replenishment systems
  • Support receiving, goods handling, and material movements
  • Support freight and shipment coordination
  • Assist with customs and shipment documentation where required
  • Assist with supplier and purchasing data management
  • Work with operational teams to improve purchasing and inventory processes
  • Coordinate with teams across In Space Propulsion and Spaceplane on shared processes and operational requirements
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership and work with limited supervision
  • Comfortable working across purchasing, logistics, inventory, and operational support activities
  • Practical mindset with the ability to improve processes while keeping day-to-day operations moving
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Experience with ERP systems, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, or logistics activities is preferred
  • Interest in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or high- growth technology environments is beneficial
Why Join Dawn Aerospace?

You will have the opportunity to improve real systems, support rapidly scaling programs, and help shape how operational purchasing and inventory systems develop as the business grows.

About Dawn Aerospace

Dawn Aerospace is a space transportation company with a purpose. Our mission is to enable the next generation of space users by providing more sustainable and scalable ways to access and move around in space. We believe this access, in the form of a transportation network, will fundamentally change what’s possible from space. We currently focus on three areas of space transportation:

  • In-space propulsion We’re a leading supplier of turnkey green propulsion systems for various classes of satellites. Our systems utilise safe, accessible propellants and we have over 170 of these propulsion units on more than 40 operational satellites already. A further 200 units are in production.
  • In-space servicing Coupled with our propulsion expertise, we are ensuring that our customers' satellites are refuellable. In the coming years, Dawn will offer a refueling service to enable life extension of customer satellites. This new market is aligned with our sustainability goal to ensue a clean and safe space for everyone!
  • Spaceplane We are developing the fastest and highest-flying aircraft ever to take off from a runway, combining the extreme performance of rocket propulsion with the reusability of conventional airplanes to enable high-frequency, low-cost access to sub-orbital space.

Our international teams are distributed across four locations: the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the USA.
