The Child Psychiatrist contributes to the professional development and supervision of the supportive team of Registrars House Officers and Students.
The Child and Family Unit and adolescent mental health inpatient unit working with young people from 0 to 18 years old and their families
They are one of only three specialist inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service units in New Zealand serving a very large region with strong commitment to collaboration between young person family staff and other services
There is also a 3 bed Mother and Baby unit which is the second only in New Zealand. The Unit is situated in Auckland Central.
Roles do not come up often for SMO in this great service. We are looking for someone who is already registered or eligible for Locum Tenens and committed to being in New Zealand in January.
