Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Whangārei is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join the General Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions Service. This permanent, full-time role is based in Northland and contributes to high-quality clinical psychology services within an MDT.

You will assess and treat adults, work with Axis I and II disorders, and deliver evidence-based therapies in a culturally appropriate way, supporting individuals and whānau across the community.

Qualifications

• Registered Psychologist with the NZ Psychologists Board.
• Experience with AxisI and AxisII disorders.
• Experience in psychological assessment and psychometric screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard clinical psychology practice in a community setting.
• Contribute to a comprehensive, culturally appropriate service within Northland.
• Work within an MDT framework with other health professionals.

About the Role

Were looking for a Registered Psychologist to work in our General Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions Service based in Whangārei. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Adult community mental health and addictions teams provide assessment and diagnosis, treatment, advice and referral to those affected by mental health and alcohol and other drug problems.

Appropriate experience of service provision, including early intervention with Psychological and Psychometric screening with the provision of a variety of psychological treatments

Experience in working with individuals with Axis I and Axis II disorders
