Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 16th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

As the Provider Network Analytics Lead, you are responsible for supporting provider management functions by turning provider network charging, claims and utilisation data into clear, actionable commercial insights. These insights will help leaders/decision makers effectively manage claims cost inflation and help identify focus areas for improvement.

This role will analyse provider charging across the network, identify fair and sustainable charging patterns, highlight outliers and model potential future-state options for network design. The position requires a creative and structured problem-solver who is comfortable working with complex, incomplete and inconsistent datasets, can document assumptions, methodology, and processes clearly, and can translate analytical findings into clear and concise practical recommendations that support provider negotiations, network strategy, cost management and improved member outcomes.

You'll bring significant experience in analytics, commercial insights, healthcare, insurance or network strategy, with a strong ability to uncover opportunities and turn data into meaningful business outcomes.

You're highly analytical and comfortable building models, testing scenarios and assessing commercial impacts, even when working with large incomplete data sets where analysis requires a holistic approach. With experience analysing pricing, claims costs, utilisation trends, provider performance and other key cost drivers, you can confidently deliver insights that support strategic decision-making and improve value for customers and the business.

You'll bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to turn analysis into clear and concise practical recommendations
  • Proficiency in Excel and analytical/reporting tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI or similar
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to explain complex analysis in plain language
  • Creative problem solver who is comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Ability to work autonomously when required to deliver against strategic priorities
  • Experience in health insurance, healthcare funding, provider contracting, financial services or another complex pricing environment (preferred)
  • Understanding of provider networks, health service utilisation, claims pathways or NZ health system dynamics (preferred)
  • Experience supporting pricing reviews, contract negotiations, business cases or network strategy (preferred)
