Ergo Consulting seeks a Protection Section Lead to join their Power Systems Leadership Team in New Zealand. You will lead a team of Protection Engineers, deliver complex HV solutions, and develop client relationships while driving business growth and capability development.

You will mentor and develop engineers across levels, collaborate with senior leadership, and contribute to Ergo's reputation in the power industry.

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering complex technical solutions as a Protection Engineer or related HV/MV discipline.
Demonstrated leadership as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager.
Strong knowledge of NZ electricity standards and engineering practices.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills across stakeholders.
Commitment to mentoring and developing engineering talent.

Responsibilities

Lead Ergo's Protection section, overseeing utilisation, resources, and technical guidance.
Create high-quality protection engineering designs for HV systems.
Strengthen client relationships and identify new opportunities in energy sector.
Collaborate with Head of Power Systems to drive performance and capability development.
Provide mentorship for junior to graduate engineers and grow the team.
Attract and retain top engineering talent to expand team capabilities.
Contribute to Ergo's Protection Engineering reputation and growth.
