Job description

We\'re looking for a Property Services Team Leader to join our Acquisitions and Property Services Team.

This permanent role offers the chance to contribute to AT\'s strategic goals and make a meaningful difference in how Auckland moves.

This role will lead, motivate and empower a team of 7-8 direct reports to provide statutory/land use advice and property services in relation to transport assets.

The role will also assist the team with processing applications relating to the road corridor, including road stopping and disposal, leasing and licensing and building line restriction removal.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Leading the team to ensure excellent customer service and timely, quality property advice for Auckland Transport\'s internal and external customers.
  • Leading and assisting the team to ensure that lease and licence, building line restriction cancellation, removal of limitations as to parcels and road stopping applications are processed, and invoiced, in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensuring all land is legalised on completion of AT projects.
  • Reviewing leases and licences and other land related legal documents

As a seasoned professional, you\'ll bring experience working in large-scale, performance-driven environments. You\'ll also bring:

  • 7- 10 years\' experience in property.
  • Previous team leadership experience.
  • Experience working in a front facing customer role or where regular interactions with customers are required.
  • Expert understanding of property legislation and documentation including leases and licences.
  • An understanding of local government legislation
  • Desirable to have experience working in the public sector or in a complex political environment.
