Job summary

Summerset Rototuna village is seeking a proactive Property Assistant to help maintain the village to high standards. In this full‑time role, you’ll support the Property Manager and team across maintenance and gardening tasks, ensuring the village remains safe, beautiful and well‑run.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, collaborating with residents and contractors to deliver practical outcomes and a welcoming environments across common areas and grounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance and gardening.
• Strong DIY or trade skills — part trade qualified preferred.
• The ability to work independently and take pride in your work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Property Assistant to join our friendly team at our Rototuna village. In this full‑time role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the high standards Summerset takes pride in – helping to keep our village safe, beautiful, and running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with the Property Manager, Property Assistants and Gardeners to support a wide range of maintenance and gardening tasks across the village. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with general property and garden maintenance
• Helping with building maintenance and refurbishments
• Assisting with landscaping, gardening, and ground care tasks
• Taking part in property inspections and reporting safety or maintenance issues
• Communicating clearly and respectfully with residents, team members, and contractors

This is a Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm position. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team who work together to create a village our residents are proud to call home.
