Summerset Retirement Villages in Dunedin is seeking a proactive Property Assistant to maintain high village standards, keeping residents' homes safe, beautiful, and well-run. You'll work with the Property Manager and Head Gardener across maintenance, gardening, and grounds care, in a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm role that values teamwork and a hands-on approach.

This role suits practical, dependable candidates who engage with residents and contractors, offering stability within a friendly team.

Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Property Assistant to join our friendly team at our Dunedin village. In this full-time role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the high standards Summerset takes pride in – helping to keep our village safe, beautiful, and running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with the Property Manager and Head Gardener to support a wide range of maintenance and gardening tasks across the village. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with general property and garden maintenance
• Helping with building maintenance and refurbishments
• Assisting with landscaping, gardening, and ground care tasks
• Taking part in property inspections and reporting safety or maintenance issues
• Communicating clearly and respectfully with residents, team members, and contractors

This is a Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm position. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team who work together to create a village our residents are proud to call home.

Qualifications
