Job summary

Assemble in Auckland is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across a diverse property portfolio. You will help with month-end duties, AP/AR processing, and GST/FBT compliance, gaining hands-on exposure in a lean team environment.

The successful candidate will have a finance degree or related qualification and prior Assistant Accountant experience, with a strong eye for detail and commercial judgment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Accountant/Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Finance degree or qualification relevant to accounting.
• Experience in a property business is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting across a large property portfolio.
• Assist with month and year end close and financial statements.
• Process accounts payable and receivable with reconciliations.
• Maintain lease database and file GST/FBT returns.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and variance reporting.
