Ngāi Tahu Holdings is embarking on a critical digital transformation, upgrading our Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system from an on-premises setup to a full cloud solution. This is more than just a technology shift—it's an opportunity to enhance whānau interactions, improve data integrity, and streamline business processes across the Te Rūnanga Group (TRG).

Te Arotahi Matua - Primary focus of the role

This role sits within our Te Kuru (Technology) team under holdings and will have a strong focus on stakeholder and iwi engagement, change management, and ensuring minimal disruption throughout the transition. You'll work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and system users across the Ngāi Tahu Group, ensuring the upgraded platform is robust, efficient, and fit for purpose.

  • Lead the full CRM migration, from planning through to implementation and post-launch support.
  • Be hands-on in technical problem-solving while managing project timelines, risks, and change
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement, ensuring open communication and a smooth change management process.
  • Collaborate closely with the Change Manager to drive system adoption and user training.
  • Manage external vendors and technical teams to deliver a robust cloud solution.
  • Develop and execute a risk management plan, ensuring data security and system stability throughout the migration.
  • Ensure improved reporting, integration, and user experience, making sure the new system meets the needs of TRG, business units, and kaimahi.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for business process enhancements.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM upgrades, especially on-prem to cloud migrations.
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud solutions, data migration, and system integration.
  • A problem-solving mindset—comfortable navigating complexity and finding solutions.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in vendor management, ensuring effective collaboration with external partners.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, technology, or project management.
