The job

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Dunedin team, to project manage a variety of residential and commercial projects.

With the support of the Breen team, the successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, as you manage the end-to-end lifecycle of projects. This includes coordinating people and processes to ensure that work is delivered on time and to budget without compromising quality. You'll be capable of running multiple projects at a time and will be the go-to person for everything involving each project’s organization and timeline.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally a minimum of 3+ years experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
  • Proven experience managing all aspects of a job including financials, programming, quality control, understanding drawings and details, subcontractor management and H&S documentation
  • An analytical and logical approach to organizing and carrying out your work
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Personal drive, initiative, and a natural curiosity to understand and solve problems
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects
  • Strong understanding of the H&S at Work Act
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and good numeracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but confident when working independently and unsupervised
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite) and ability to learn new technology quickly. Experience with MS Project and Procore would be beneficial
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients alike
  • Right to live and work in New Zealand
