Job description
Overview

Connexa is New Zealand’s leading mobile tower infrastructure company, with a mission to build a more connected digital future. With 2,500+ towers already in place and 800 more to come, we’re enabling better connectivity across Aotearoa — and we want you to help lead the charge.

Role

As the Project Management Craft Lead, you will provide hands on leadership and direction for Connexa’s team of Project Managers. You are individually accountable for workforce planning and work allocation, hiring and onboarding, craft development, pastoral care and, along with the PMO, collectively responsible for developing and implementing project management disciplines that ensure our tower projects are delivered on time, in budget and ‘first-time-right’.

Another key focus of the role is identifying opportunities to improve the way we do things and the way we work together – you’ll document and operationalise these continuous improvement initiatives, making sure project managers know what is expected of them and are fully trained.

What you\'ll do
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Project Managers
  • Oversee project delivery workforce planning and resourcing
  • Embed best practice project methodologies and ways of working
  • Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer focus
  • Collaborate with engineering, property, and programme teams
  • Drive performance, wellbeing and engagement across your team
What you\'ll bring
  • A background in Project or Programme Management – ideally in infrastructure, telco, utilities, energy or transport
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing teams - a 'servant leadership' approach
  • Excellent understanding of people and craft leadership practices including performance management, change management, talent management, culture, engagement and wellbeing
  • Deep understanding of PM tools and methodologies (Agile, Lean, Prince2 etc.)
  • Passion for people development and team culture
  • Data-savvy and insight-driven decision-making
  • Great communicator, problem solver and relationship builder
Why join us?

At Connexa, you’ll join a bold, purpose-driven team working on projects that shape the digital future of NZ. You’ll be empowered to lead change, grow your craft, and make a real impact in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

In return for your efforts, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary, Southern Cross health insurance, life insurance, marram holidays as well as an annual wellbeing day.

Working at Connexa will challenge you, broaden your skillset and give you the opportunity to make your mark on a totally new segment of New Zealand’s telecommunications industry.
