Job summary

Mills Albert, a family-owned civil contracting company based near the Kāpiti Coast, is looking for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to own civil construction projects and progress toward Contracts Management. You will work with senior managers, manage programming, costs, client relations and variations to deliver safely and profitably.

We offer a pathway to Contracts Management, a collaborative team, and opportunities to work on a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering qualification or proven experience in a PE or PM role within New Zealand.
• Experience managing and delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, programming and construction methodologies.
• Exposure to project financial management, claims and variations.
• Sound working knowledge of NZS 3910.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of project outcomes.
• Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence, and willingness to travel throughout the region.
• Applicants must have unrestricted work rights in New Zealand.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of civil construction projects while developing towards a Contracts Management position over time and we welcome candidates to apply who are already performing at this level.

Working closely with the senior contracts manager, commercial manager, operational leaders and clients, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering projects safely, profitably and to a high standard. You'll be involved in both technical and commercial aspects of delivery, from programming and cost control through to client management and variations.

About You

We're seeking someone with a strong civil construction background who is looking to grow their commercial and project management capability within a collaborative and experienced team.

You’ll Bring
