Job summary

Fulton Hogan’s first wind farm project in New Zealand is recruiting a Project Engineer to help set up Amberley-based works and lead on-site activities as construction ramps up. You will plan, coordinate and drive the project forward, mentoring developing engineers and site teams along the way.

The role is hands-on with real responsibility, requiring strong logistics management, experience in heavy civil structures or bridges, and the energy to lead from the front on a dynamic site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience at Project Engineer level on civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong logistics and coordination skills across large or complex works.
• Structural or bridge experience applicable to wind farm settings.
• Collaborative, low-ego style with ability to mentor developing staff.
• High energy, enthusiasm and ability to adapt under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering delivery on site, focusing on planning, sequencing and keeping work moving.
• Own logistics management across key activities, including large concrete pours and other critical-path works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to deliver safe, quality outcomes on programme.
• Mentor early-career engineers and support the wider team by sharing knowledge and setting clear expectations.
• Stay adaptable on site, respond quickly to change, and make sound decisions under pressure.
