The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Queenstown. In this role, you will oversee and support various project operations, ensuring successful execution in line with contract requirements. You will collaborate closely with supervisors, project managers, and key stakeholders to optimise utilisation, uphold high quality standards, and achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned contracts, ensuring performance meets requirements in terms of quality and deadlines.
  • Lead by example, driving Zero Harm through operational excellence.
  • Identify and manage contractual obligations, ensuring all variations are recorded and resolved effectively.
  • Collaborate with estimators to prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions.
  • Ensure project documentation aligns with contract requirements regarding margins, quality, and time frames.
  • Assist in preparing monthly progress claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Important Skills

As an experienced Project Engineer, you\'ll bring with you a proven track record in the civil construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, project management capabilities and strong interpersonal skills. You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience working with NEC3/4 and/or 3910/3916 contracts.
  • Understanding of transport and infrastructure construction projects.
  • Competence in project management tools and software used for planning, scheduling, and monitoring construction activities.
  • Familiarity with local industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
