  • Review and input budgets, subcontractor payments, and variations.
  • Provide cost-to-complete reviews and risk assessments with the project team.
  • Assist with forecasting plant, labour, and material costs for self-perform packages.
  • Maintain up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations and site ledgers.
  • Liaise between the project team and company finance functions for accurate reporting.

About the Role

McConnell Dowell is looking for a skilled Project Accountant to support our Te Puke project. This role is critical to maintaining robust financial systems and ensuring timely and accurate reporting across all aspects of project delivery.

As Project Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager and wider finance team to manage cost reporting, forecasting, progress claims, and financial controls. Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and twelve-month cashflow forecasts.
  • Support timely submittal of monthly progress claims and input into Workbench.
  • Review and input budgets, subcontractor payments, and variations.
  • Provide cost-to-complete reviews and risk assessments with the project team.

  • Manage McConnell Dowell assets and maintain registers.
  • Liaise between the project team and company finance functions to ensure accurate, on-time reporting.
