Job summary

Southern Institute of Technology Online is seeking an experienced Programme Operations Manager to provide academic leadership, programme management and operational oversight across our online learning portfolio.

You will report to the Senior Programme Operations Manager and collaborate with academic staff, industry partners, and support services to ensure high standards and exceptional learner experiences within SIT Online.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to facilitators and academic staff.
• Manage online programme delivery, timetabling and student support.
• Support quality assurance processes and accreditation activities.
• Foster relationships with industry partners, staff, contractors and stakeholders.
• Lead recruitment, induction and performance development of facilitators and academic staff.
• Monitor learner engagement, retention and outcomes to improve learning experiences.
• Ensure compliance with SIT policies, NZQA requirements and external QA standards.
• Drive continuous improvement through self-assessment and scholarship activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Programme Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to facilitators, managing programme delivery, supporting quality assurance processes, and ensuring students receive an outstanding learning experience. You will work closely with academic staff,industry stakeholders, and support services to maintain high educational standards and drive continuousimprovement

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support facilitators in programme planning, delivery, assessment, moderation, andevaluation
• Manage online programme operations, timetabling, student support, and programmeadministration.
• Contribute to programme development, accreditation, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Foster strong relationships with industry partners, academic staff, contractors, and key stakeholders
• Support the recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development offacilitators and academic staff.
• Monitor student engagement, retention, achievement, and feedback to ensure positive learneroutcomes.
• Ensure programme compliance with SIT policies, NZQA requirements, and external quality assuranceexpectations
• Promote continuous improvement through self-assessment, evaluation, research, and scholarshipactivities.
