Programme Manager After School and Holiday Programme

About the role
Kid Station is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to oversee our Before, After School and Holiday Programmes in South Dunedin, Otago. This part-time role is integral to ensuring we provide high-quality, engaging and enriching care and activities for children at our programme.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and manage the daily operations of our After School and Holiday Programmes, ensuring they run smoothly and meet all regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans to keep children entertained and stimulated
  • Lead and manage a team of programme staff.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, schools and the wider community
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting on programme attendance, incidents and budgets
  • Assist with the recruitment, training and development of programme staff
  • Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all children in our care
  • Plan and budget for Holiday programmes
  • Be responsible for weekly payroll and staff timetable.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing after school or holiday programmes
  • Strong computer skills, experience with excel, Word, Google Docs.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and health & safety regulations
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A genuine passion for working with children and enriching their lives
  • You must be available from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 5.30 pm during school Holidays.
