Biocell Corporation is a New Zealand biotechnology company primarily focused on the development and manufacture of sterile chemical injectables and vaccines from viral and bacterial sources.

With a client list that includes multi-nationals, crown research institutes and universities around the world, Biocell is committed to the production of high-quality veterinary and human biological products.

The role:

Working as part of the production team, the successful candidate will assist in the manufacture of products at Biocell’s manufacturing facility in Auckland.

This role will enable the right candidate to acquire knowledge in a wide range of biological and chemical manufacturing systems such as large-scale bacterial fermentation, viral vaccine production and sterile injection manufacture.

The candidate will also be involved in sterile filling, product assembly, media and culturepreparation and in the general upkeep of the facility.

All applicants must have:

Prior experience working in a GMP environment

Good knowledge of aseptic techniques

The successful candidate will ideally have the following additional qualities:

Experience working in pharmaceutical cleanrooms

Excellent communication and organisational skills

An aptitude to work systematically and carefully with all company equipment.

Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines

Be able to work as part of a team

Be proactive in the upkeep of the facility and be compliant with H&S standards

The ability to work independently, but also be flexible enough to assist others when required.

Have a keen eye for detail and meticulous record keeping

A tertiary qualification in Biological Sciences, such as Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology
