Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Ltd. is seeking a highly organised Production Scheduler for the Waitane team in Gore, NZ. You will coordinate sales orders and schedule secondary packing, working with Head Office and site teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and to spec.

The role involves early shift hours (6:00am–2:30pm) with some flexibility and overtime during peak seasons. Join a diverse team focused on precision, compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Appropriate production experience and understanding of finished product specifications.
• Knowledge of production scheduling practices.
• Good knowledge of technology, with ability to learn new systems and master Excel.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish production plans to support prioritised sales orders.
• Set efficient packing plans to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Ensure accurate and timely communication between Head Office Sales, Planning and site teams.
• Support labelling, traceability and compliance requirements.
• Ensure packaging purchasing aligns with production plans.
• Support customer, regulatory and internal audits.
• Maintain accurate production, scheduling and inventory records.
• Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and systems.
