About the role
Our production manager role is essential in getting things done within our dynamic and fast-paced environment. This senior management role works closely with all departments within our organisation and plays a critical part in giving our team leaders the tools and confidence they need to get the best out of our people so we can deliver high-quality products to our global customers.
Get back that work-life balance, with a rotating roster of 4 days on and 4 days off during the summer! Although some of the year, you will be required to work 5 days on/2 days off.
You will be responsible for:
The effective management of all departments associated with production i.e., Stockyards, Slaughter, Boning, and Packing, with the primary purpose of maximising productivity, yield recovery and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the production of all departments, including labour planning and quality control.
Keeping our people safe with a strong focus on health and safety targets.
Meeting Service level and Product Quality targets for key customers.
Processing outputs for each line and monitoring of costs.
Proactively contributing to productivity improvement projects.
Developing an improvement culture that continuously strives to do better.
Promoting and encouraging a positive team culture through development, performance, and engagement.
