We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Production Manager to join the Kraft Heinz team at our Dunedin site, where you will lead and manage a high-performing team to drive production excellence and achieve business objectives.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and manage production operations to ensure safe and efficient manufacture of high-quality products
  • Oversee daily and weekly production performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Drive team performance to meet key operational metrics and deliver production targets
  • Mentor and develop a team of direct reports to build a highly skilled and motivated workforce
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity, efficiency, and cost savings
  • Collaborate with the site management team to ensure seamless site operations
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following Kraft Heinz's Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain the highest standards of product quality and food safety
  • Deliver exceptional service and quality to our customers
  • Provide effective leadership to the production team, guiding and directing them to achieve business objectives

About you:

  • Strong experience in FMCG, with a strong background in management and leadership
  • Proven track record of sound knowledge of food processing and/or a complex manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in safety management and risk management, with a strong understanding of NZ H&S legislation
  • Skilled in people management, conversant with NZ employment Law, and experienced in industrial relations and collective bargaining negotiations
  • Proficient in production forecasting tools and have a strong understanding of local and national legislation and regulations affecting site operations
  • Experienced in Lean Manufacturing and change management, with a strong ability to manage and prepare budgets, including P&L accounts and balance sheets
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, with experience in technical/SOP writing
  • Currently hold a relevant tertiary qualification or training
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights
