Job summary

New Zealand Post in Auckland or Wellington is seeking a Product Owner within the Data & Technology team to define and deliver value for customers and business, working in a cross-functional product team with Product Managers, engineers and stakeholders. You will translate problems into clear backlogs, prioritise opportunities using customer insight and data, and measure outcomes across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience in a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, Product Analyst or similar role in an agile environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams.
Ability to translate complex problems into clear priorities and actionable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand customer, business and operational challenges and help explore problems, test assumptions and shape potential solutions.
Maintain and refine a product backlog reflecting strategic priorities, customer needs and business outcomes.
Break down complex problems into clear, testable increments that maximise learning and value delivery.
Collaborate with engineers, QA and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes through iterative and agile ways of working.
Make informed trade-off decisions balancing customer value, business needs, and technical constraints.
