Job summary

Southern Cross Health Society, Auckland, is seeking a Product Manager to join our Customer Growth team in a permanent capacity. You will enable successful product delivery, prioritise work, align stakeholders and execute, with growth toward owning product strategy and outcomes for members and the organisation.

Collaborate with delivery, engineering, design and business stakeholders to ensure problems are solved and investments deliver meaningful outcomes for our members and our organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Customer-centric mindset balancing customer, business and delivery needs.
• Strong prioritisation and decision-making capability in complex environments.
• Ability to use data and insights to drive outcomes.
• Collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience in regulated industries or complex enterprise environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog to maximise customer and business value.
• Partner with Product, Technology and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Drive product delivery, prioritisation and release planning.
• Use customer insights and data to inform decisions and shape future improvements.
• Influence stakeholders and contribute to evolving the product practice.

About the role

We're looking for a Product Manager to join our Customer Growth team in a permanent capacity.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a role that will evolve alongside our product operating model. Initially, your focus will be on enabling successful product delivery, driving value through prioritisation, stakeholder alignment and execution. Over time, the role will broaden to include greater ownership of product strategy, customer discovery, product vision and outcome measurement.

You'll work closely with delivery, engineering, design and business stakeholders to ensure the right problems are being solved and that product investments deliver meaningful outcomes for our members and organisation.

Key responsibilities include

• Owning and prioritising the product backlog to maximise customer and business value.
• Partnering with stakeholders across Product, Technology and the business to deliver meaningful outcomes.

About you

You may already be operating as a Product Manager, or you may be an experienced Product Owner ready to step into a broader product leadership role.

• A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience within regulated industries or complex enterprise environments would be advantageous but is not essential. This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and wants to help shape the future direction of a product capability.
