Job summary

PwC New Zealand is seeking a Procurement Specialist – Responsible Procurement & Sustainability to join the Procurement team. You’ll embed ESG, human rights, and modern slavery considerations across the supplier lifecycle and collaborate with Finance, Risk, Legal, Sustainability and other teams to turn data into practical actions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, sustainability/ESG, supplier risk, compliance or a related field.
• Practical experience in sourcing, supplier governance, due diligence, responsible procurement or third-party risk.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence turning data into practical actions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively within a small team.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience is required. Knowledge of modern slavery, human rights due diligence, ethical sourcing, sustainability reporting, dashboarding, automation or AI-enabled process improvement is advantageous.

Join PwC New Zealand’s Procurement team as a Procurement Specialist – Responsible Procurement & Sustainability.This is a broad Procurement role with a primary focus on responsible procurement, supplier ESG, modern slavery and sustainability.

You’ll be part of a collaborative Procurement team working across sourcing, supplier management, due diligence, governance, commercial activity and continuous improvement. Procurement projects will be allocated across the team based on business priorities, capacity and development opportunities, with each team member also bringing their own area of specialist capability.

In this role, you’ll help embed responsible procurement and human rights considerations throughout the supplier lifecycle while also contributing to broader Procurement projects and sourcing activity.

You’ll work closely with Procurement, Finance, Risk, Legal, Sustainability, Property, People and other teams, as well as our suppliers, to turn supplier information, risk insights and data into practical actions and help integrate responsible procurement into Procurement BAU.

What you will do:

We’re looking for someone who enjoys Procurement, working with people and turning information into practical outcomes.

• 5+ years’ relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, sustainability/ESG, supplier risk, compliance or a related field.
• Practical experience in sourcing, supplier governance, due diligence, responsible procurement or third-party risk.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence turning data into practical actions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively within a small team.
• A practical understanding of governance, controls and process documentation, with a continuous-improvement mindset.

A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience is required. Knowledge of modern slavery, human rights due diligence, ethical sourcing, sustainability reporting, dashboarding, automation or AI-enabled process improvement is advantageous.
