Procurement Specialist - Procurement

About the role | Mō te tūranga:

We are looking for an experienced and data-driven Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team in Auckland. You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of suppliers, optimising procurement master data in Tech One CiA, and delivering cost-saving and value-adding initiatives across both direct and indirect spend.

This role is central to improving procurement systems, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency. If you’re passionate about using data to drive decisions, streamlining processes, and building strong vendor partnerships – we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring alignment to procurement strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance procurement master data in Tech One CiA to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and effective reporting.
  • Execute cost-saving initiatives with a focus on total cost of ownership and operational efficiencies.
  • Measure supplier performance against KPIs and lead ongoing improvement discussions.
  • Champion supplier relationship management (SRM), including issue resolution and contract compliance.
  • Lead negotiations on contract reviews with prior endorsement from National Procurement Manager.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support planning, finance, quality, and operational teams.
  • Provide reporting and insights to inform strategic decisions and recommendations.


To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Have tertiary qualification, and 4+ years’ of commercial procurement experience, or a minimum of 7 years working experience with clear demonstration of having gained significant on the job skills.
  • Be highly analytical and adept at solving complex problems with sound commercial judgement.
  • Possess strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Be a self-starter who can drive initiatives and build lasting relationships with suppliers.
  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
