Job description

At McVicar ITM, our mission is to ensure our customers receive the right building products at the right time—with service that goes above and beyond. Our Sales Support & Procurement role plays a vital part in making this happen.

We are expanding our team based at our Johns Road site. You'll be supporting our sales team by processing specialty orders, sourcing products from trusted suppliers, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly from order to delivery. Every day will be different, and you’ll be busy with tasks like:

  • Receiving and processing specialty orders from our sales representatives
  • Sourcing products from approved suppliers while ensuring competitive pricing and quality
  • Coordinating with sales and dispatch to meet customer build schedules
  • Providing accurate pricing to customers and sales staff
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be an excellent communicator who’s comfortable working across teams and building strong relationships with suppliers and customers alike. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay organised, and have great time management skills.

Experience in the building industry is essential to feel comfortable and succeed in this role.

We’re also looking for:

  • Familiarity with POS systems and workflow management platforms
  • An understanding of pricing structures and cost analysis
  • A customer-focused mindset with great problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple tasks

This is a full-time position working 40-45 hours a week Monday – Friday.
