Job summary

Crown Infrastructure Delivery (CID) is seeking a Procurement and Project Controls Specialist to provide expert procurement, commercial and project controls support across a portfolio of NZ government infrastructure projects.

You will lead end-to-end procurement, advise project teams, and support financial management and governance to ensure value for money and on-time delivery. CID offers hybrid flexibility and professional development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in government procurement, infrastructure, construction or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand Government Procurement Rules.
• Experience administering contracts, variations, claims and commercial management.
• Background in quantity surveying, commercial management, procurement or project controls.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation across internal and external teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement processes per NZ Government Rules.
• Provide procurement and commercial advice to project teams.
• Support project financial management, including budgets and forecasting.
• Contribute to project controls such as risk management.
• Provide analysis, reporting and assurance for informed decisions.
• Build relationships with government agencies, consultants and suppliers.
• Contribute to CID's Project Support Office capability development.
