Job summary

Archway Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist in Auckland to lead and advise on a major infrastructure programme. You will oversee procurement, sourcing and tender management, and provide contract leadership to enable successful capital investment outcomes.

You will develop strategies for capital infrastructure, manage end-to-end procurement including ROIs, RFPs and RFTs, and lead negotiations on high-value contracts while mitigating commercial risks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in procurement/commercial management in infrastructure, capital works or construction (public sector preferred).
• Strong understanding of AOG procurement rules in capital works.
• Experience in health sector and capital investment desirable.
• Degree in procurement, commerce or law; MCIPs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies for capital infrastructure programmes.
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes including planning, ROIs, RFPs and RFTs.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and contractors on major contracts.
• Identify and manage commercial risks across programmes.

• Lead procurement and commercial activity for a large infrastructure project
• All of Government and capital delivery experience required
• Auckland location, competitive hourly rates, hourly rate contract role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to lead and advise on a significant programme of infrastructure development. Enable successful capital investment outcomes, through procurement, sourcing and tender management as well as contract leadership.

• Develop procurement strategies for capital infrastructure programmes
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes including; procurement plans, ROIs, RFPs, RFTs
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and contractors, particularly around NSZ 3910 and NEC contracts
• Identify and manage commercial risks
• Work closely with senior internal stakeholders, building productive relationships with suppliers
• Ensure all procurement activity complies with AOG procurement rules, delegations and audit requirements

We are looking for a procurement professional, with more than 8 years’ experience in procurement/commercial management and:

• Significant experience in infrastructure, capital works, engineering or construction environments (ideally in the public sector)
• Strong understanding of AOG procurement rules in the capital works space
• Demonstrated success in managing high-value procurement and negotiating major contracts
• Experience in the health sector and capital investment (highly desirable)
• A degree in procurement, commerce or law as well as MCIPs (highly desirable)
