Job summary

OceanaGold in Waihi, New Zealand, is seeking motivated individuals to join the Processing Plant team on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster with rotating day and night shifts.

You will optimize performance of all plant circuits, perform preventative maintenance, and follow SOPs while ensuring safe operations and training participation.

This role offers a residential assignment in Waihi, a competitive salary with quarterly bonuses, and access to employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Full and current Class 1 Driver Licence; manual vehicle capability preferred.
• Previous processing plant or similar industry experience desirable.
• First Aid Certificate would be highly regarded.
• Forklift, loader and skid steer experience an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing or process-related industry.
• Exposure to computers and MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate plant inspections; adjust operations per schedules and procedures.
• Adopt daily plans, schedules and work orders to meet changing conditions.
• Inspect and audit work areas for compliance with site standards and consent conditions.
• Conduct sampling for metallurgical and operational control purposes.
• Assist in shutdowns, breakdowns or start-ups; isolate/restart equipment safely.
